This episode is short and sweet.
It reflects on a discussion about perfectionism, anxiety, and attachment theory, seen through a feminist lens.
That original conversation was on the podcast UnF•ck Your Brain
Here LBL host, Amanda Klang, shares why it may help people, and especially women, in their search for late bloomin’ love.

It also contrasts dating cultures in English and French-speaking Canada.

This week it's a replay of a favourite episode from last season.
It’s part 2 of the conversation with sex educator and best-selling author, Emily Nagoski.
Have a listen if you missed this episode the first time around....Or if you need a little inspiration.
And we’ll be back with new episodes of the podcast soon!
*****************************************************
This episode of Late Bloomin' Love continues the conversation with sex educator and New York Times best-selling author, Emily Nagoski.
Nagoski wrote "Come As You Are: The Surprising New Science That Will Transform Your Sex Life." And with it, her goal is to help people, and especially women, live with confidence and joy in their bodies.
In Part 1, Emily Nagoski told host, Amanda Klang, that everything she'd learned growing up about sex, bodies, gender, safety, love and relationships was wrong. And that her book, which corrects those misunderstandings, is part of a larger project to dismantle sex-negative, oppressive messages around sexuality. It particularly seeks to dismantle the messages that negatively affect women's experiences of their bodies, their sexuality and their sense of self-worth.
In Part 2, Nagoski offers some how-to's for anyone to use if they want to adopt new beliefs that promote positive feelings about their body, their sexuality and their worthiness to love, to desire and to be loved and desired just as they are now.
This is Part 2 of a two-part conversation.
You can find more information about Emily Nagoski here.

If you're seeking late bloomin' love, how do your attitudes about sex and your body factor in for you? Do they help you create connection and intimacy with another person? Or do they mire you in negative feelings that get in your way?
Emily Nagoski is a sex educator whose goal is to help people, and especially women, live with confidence and joy in their bodies. She wrote "Come As You Are: The Surprising New Science That Will Transform Your Sex Life"
And in this episode of Late Bloomin' Love, Emily Nagoski tells host, Amanda Klang, what she studied, and put in her book, after realizing that everything she'd learned growing up about sex, bodies, gender, safety, love and relationships was wrong.
With her work, she aims to be part of a global, multi-generational process of dismantling sex-negative and oppressive messages around sexuality.
This is Part 1 of a two-part conversation.

The podcast has been taking a summer break. And so we’ve been sharing our favourite episodes from season one.
This is the last summer replay.
It’s a conversation about friendships and where they fit into the search for late bloomin’ love.
Have a listen if you missed this episode the first time around... Or if you just want to feel good!
And we'll be back next time with an all-new episode of Late Bloomin' Love!
-------------
It's the start of another summer season, and here in Montreal, we all know summer is the best time of the year!
So, on this last episode before the pod takes a summer break, we're talking about friendships and asking how important they are in a world that values romantic relationships over all other types of relationship.
Up next, a chat with guests Kristen Hutchinson, a nationally syndicated CBC Radio culture columnist and friend of podcast host, Amanda Klang, and Jen, a friend of both Amanda's and Kristen's.
All three women are in their fabulous fifties, single and dating, and reflecting together on what matters in their lives.
And it turns out, friendships might just matter most of all, making the search for late bloomin' love a fun side project, worth undertaking, but not the ultimate quest for meaning in our lives.
Late Bloomin' Love will be back with new episodes in September.
Meanwhile, the pod team wishes everyone a wonderful summer!
